If you are willing to let your child into your own journey toward wholeness...Then they will learn their own identity and their own wholeness along the way...~ Jenna Winship

True Identity was a challenge to write and even more difficult to share because I had to relive every situation, every encounter, every challenge, every pain, every abuse, every hurtful word or action hurled at me. I was caught up in a tailspin of despair as I felt each pain coursing through my body and tearing into me as it open each and every wound before they eventually closed.  I was able to hear and feel my body being slammed into a wall as it cracked  open when my head collided into it but still I was willing to relive each painful moment and be the first recipient to heal from my own pain and then share it with you and the world.  I realized it wasn't about me and if my story can help at least one person then my pain was not in vain.  I hope you will share your story to help someone else  because it will be well worth it in the end.  I could have stopped and not share due to the shame that I relived but I faced each abuse one by one, learned from it and heal the wound instead of putting a band-aid on it and not thinking about it until something happens to open it up again.  At which point, I will cringe, hold my breath and bury it even further within.  With that said, don't let shame keep you from sharing your thoughts, your pain, your story...you are one step from receiving your healing.  Let's chat!
